Paperwork

How we handle your data

Paperwork — in plain language.

What we store

Your account (name, email, password hash), the people you add (e.g. your children's names and school details), the papers you photograph, the text read from them, and the tasks, events and reminders you confirm.

How papers are read

Papers are sent to an AI service (Google Gemini) to find dates, tasks and amounts. This service is currently in a testing configuration — please use sample papers only.

Who can see your papers

Only people in your household. Paperwork staff can't see them unless you approve a time-limited support request in Settings, and every view is logged.

Children

Children don't have accounts. A parent or guardian (18+) adds them as profiles and decides what is stored about them.

Storage & security

Papers are stored privately (encrypted at rest), shown only through short-lived links, and never sold or used for advertising.

How long we keep it

Until you delete it. You can set papers to be deleted automatically after 3–36 months (Settings → Your data).

Your choices

Download everything (Settings → Your data), delete any paper, or delete your account. Delete my data without signing in.
